BEN MORGAN

Ben Morgan of the “Ben Morgan School of Music” in Columbus, GA is the newest, yet oldest, member of the group. He is the newest member, but age wise, he is the oldest and believe it or not.....…is a grandpa. Something he gets teased about quite a lot on the bus!

Ben began playing the guitar around the age of 5 and started playing drums, bass guitar and piano at 8 years old! When he was only 13 he was already a member of a rock band, but after his (and the other group member’s) con-version, they began doing gospel music. By the age of 14 he had already joined a southern gospel group and would have to ride the Greyhound bus 75 miles to meet the group, sing all week-end, and ride Greyhound back in time for school Monday morning. He did this until he was 16 and able to get his license and drive the 75 miles himself! And he’s been with various other groups since then having been involved in over 30 recordings!

When asked about his talent to play, Ben credits his brothers with teaching him a lot of basics but says he practiced a lot of hours and also spent a lot of prayer time asking God to help him play for His glory.

At the young age of 18 Ben married his sweetheart Teresa and they’ve been married over 30 years. They have 2 children and 4 grandkids! When at home, if he’s not teaching, Ben loves spending time with his family, doing studio work, and occasionally going golfing, bowling or playing tennis. His favorite color is blue, his favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite restaurant is Cracker Barrel.
